STUDENTS WITH MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES
This is not my experience.
Really it was told by my friend, who had been working as a Mathematics teacher
for a long time. She was working in an elementary school.
Then there existed a practice in education department. Each year the educational officer would visit every school, and review academic and administrative activities of the institution.
Observing the classes was one of the programmes , which every inspector would
enjoy doing. They used it as a chance to torture teachers, even in front of the students.
So it was a nightmare to all teachers.
In the middle of one academic year, an educational officer visited my friend’s school.
As a part of the visit, the educational officer came to her class also. As soon as he entered the class all the students greeted him, like parrots, in one voice.
The Inspector was given a chair, and the teacher started teaching. She was teaching
multiplication table, which seemed a difficult task to most of the teachers .
She checked the pupils’ knowledge on multiplication .
“10 ×3=?” ;she asked pointing out one student.
The student:”13”
To our inspector’s surprise ,teacher congratulated the student by
saying “good”. He thought it happened, because of the anxiety on the part of the teacher.
For her second question,”5×7=? “,another student gave answer: “57”.
Now the teacher put a pleasant smile on her lips, and thanked the student with “very good”. The officer was about to speak something, but he controlled himself.
Then teacher paused the third question to a slim girl.
“3×4=?”
“444”,the girl answered smartly. The teacher looked the happiest one in the world and encouraged the girl with a louder “very very good”.
This time the educational officer could not control himself. He jumped out of the chair
and started scolding the teacher. ”what are you doing ? Are you teaching students or
teasing me? When students giving wrong answers ,you are encouraging them. You are
dare enough to……………………..” . he went on abusing her. His rage multiplied, when he saw the calm and enthusiastic face of the teacher. Then he raised his voice and continued the same for some time.
At last officer stopped talking .When she understood ,he was O K she said :” sir I joined in this school 2 months ago. When I asked the same questions they answered: Bastard,……………………etc. Now they are using numbers instead of those obscene
words. Isn’t it a behavioural change sir?”
Now inspector became a different man. He appreciated the teacher and remarked that she was the best TEACHER, he had ever seen.

one day in the english class

after teaching the lesson "master of the class", written by Nathanial Hawthrone(which says about the relationship between teacher and students)I just asked a question to the whole class.
I wanted to know whether my students love me.
Even before I finished the question ,Yasir,the smartest one in the class ,said that he loved me.
Then the cute girl Aminabi said:I love u too.
The third response came from Misiriya:I love u three.Now u could guess what might have
happened in the class.
